Galley
--

See that white, table-looking thing? For a while, that was my entire
galley! Like the refrigeration area on the opposite side of the van,
this table is located where the galley will eventually be built, and
the strange looking triangular pieces of plywood are only there
temporarily to give the table some stability. I had future plans to
add a propane stove and a sink to the galley table top. I also planned
to add a propane forced air heater under the galley table, along with
maybe some sliding drawers. But, for my first van road trip,
I used my portable propane camping
stove for cooking. You might notice that the galley table
blocks off a portion of the van's sliding side door. This is pretty
common on many van builds.

This box under construction will hold a 10 pound propane bottle.

The propane bottle just BARELY fits in the propane box.

The control for the propane heater.

The propane heater's combustion exhaust comes out of a hose under the van
so no carbon monoxide fumes get inside the interior of the van while the heater is running. But, the stove
does generate a small anount of carbon monoxide inside the van. I mounted a
carbon monoxide detector in the galley. A propane fume detector is mounted under
the galley.
